About this Event
Join the Hero's Path Bike Ride!
The Hero’s Path Bike Ride is a 21-mile community event along the Empire State Trail connecting Monroe Community College (MCC) and SUNY Brockport. Highlighting the strong continuum of support for military and veteran students, their families, and transfer students in the MCC-to-Brockport pipeline, the ride is open to the public with free registration for all. Participants will enjoy a scenic journey along the Erie Canal while building awareness of accessible, local recreation opportunities and fostering pride in service personnel across the greater Brockport–Rochester area. Whether you're an experienced cyclist or simply looking for a meaningful and enjoyable way to spend the morning, the ride offers a chance to connect, explore, and celebrate community.
Riders will encounter rest stops approximately every five miles—fully staffed with volunteers providing water, snacks, and basic first aid. The ride concludes with a finish-line celebration at the Bicentennial Bridge in Commissary Park, Brockport. Adaptive equipment, interpreter services, and limited one-way transport for riders and bikes are available upon request during registration, ensuring accessibility for all. Everyone is welcome to join this inclusive and energizing event.
Generously funded by the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor.
