About this Event
Herman Melville has nothing to do with this comedy show, he died a long time ago. But Joe Nunnink and Kevin Casey White are alive and they're excited to bring you some of New York City's funniest comedians in the basement of a bookstore, featuring comics from Netflix, HBO, The Tonight Show, and more!
Featuring:
Shane Torres (Late Show with Stephen Colbert, CONAN)
Shaunak Godkhindi (Don't Tell Comedy)
Rachel McCartney (Cracked Comedy)
Tyler Snodgrass (The Hard Times, Mortified)
plus: Lizabanks Campagna, Joe Nunnink, and Kevin Casey White
Joe Nunnink is a comedian, writer, and content creator who has performed at comedy festivals all over the country including the Boston Comedy Festival and the New York Comedy Festival, where he was selected as a 2023 official “Creator to Watch.” His online comedy sketches have been written about in Vulture Magazine, and he has written for MeatCanyon. Joe has opened for comedians such Shane Gillis, Andy Dick and Craig Conant.
Hailed by the Chicago Tribune as the “physical expression of an exclamation point,” Kevin Casey White's new stand-up special, “Harangue” (800 Pound Gorilla Records), and appearances on Comedy Central (Alternatino), Audible, and Nerdist, have allowed him to weasel his way into the comedy world’s good graces—earning praise from heavyweights like Will Arnett (Bojack Horseman, Arrested Development), who called his style “fair, unbiased wit.” Which is a classy way of saying he makes fun of everyone.
LizaBanks Campagna is a comedian and resident young person. At 24, she is an up-and-coming comedian in NYC, performing at clubs in Brooklyn and Manhattan like Gotham Comedy Club and Flophouse Comedy Club. Originally from D.C, LizaBanks was a stalwart in the scene as a regular at Hotbed Comedy Club, the D.C Improv, Arlington Drafthouse, and the D.C Comedy Loft. LizaBanks has opened for national touring headliners like Sean Patton, Eddie Pepitone, and Ali Macofsky. She released her first half-hour special 23 and Me, available Youtube, in November of 2023. She produces two monthly shows in NYC, GoLong, a showcase show with the most talented NYC comedians running their longer sets, and F-U-N-Y, a hilariously salty show she co-produces with Marcella Denby. She’s mostly excited but nervous and really hopes this comedy thing works out.
