Families are invited to spend their Sunday afternoon at the Heritage West Family Day at the Penn Museum!
"Heritage West: The West Philadelphia Community Archaeology Project" is a new partnership between People's Emergency Center CDC, the Black Bottom Tribe Association and the Penn Museum. Through this project we will invite neighbors to engage with the concept of local heritage and what it means to document the past.
Learn more about *Heritage West*, explore the new galleries, and connect with an array of different cultures during your visit.

The University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archeology and Anthropology is "home to over a million extraordinary artifacts and archaeological finds from Africa, Asia, the Americas, and the Mediterranean, the Penn Museum has been uncovering our shared humanity across continents and millennia since 1887. In bridging archaeology, the study of objects made by humans, with anthropology, the science of humanity, we chart a course for finding one’s own place in the arc of human history."
