About this Event
Heritage Mississauga warmly invites you to attend our 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the historic Small Arms Inspection Building in Mississauga.
This year’s AGM theme, “Restoring Shorelines. Reimagining Heritage.”, explores the evolving relationship between heritage, conservation, community, and the natural environment.
Following the business portion of the meeting, attendees will enjoy a special presentation by Jesse Dejager of Credit Valley Conservation, highlighting the soon-to-open Jim Tovey Lakeview Conservation Area. This landmark 26-hectare waterfront restoration project is transforming a degraded section of Mississauga’s Lake Ontario shoreline into a thriving nature-rich greenspace featuring trails, pedestrian bridges, wildlife habitat, and new waterfront connections.
We also anticipate remarks from Raiden Levesque regarding the Indigenous placemaking elements and cultural significance of the conservation area.
