About this Event
A gentle, heartwarming walk through Hereford’s heritage and riverside calm — where history, architecture, and fresh air flow side by side.
Our journey begins at the magnificent Hereford Cathedral, a masterpiece of English Gothic design and home to the world-famous Mappa Mundi and Chained Library. After exploring its peaceful cloisters and awe-inspiring interiors, we step outside into a different kind of sanctuary — the River Wye, whose wide, graceful curves frame the city in natural beauty.
We follow the riverside path, enjoying open views, wildlife, and gentle conversation as we loop toward the old Victoria Bridge and back into the heart of the city. Along the way, we’ll pause for a rest or coffee near the water, before finishing with a visit to the historic Hereford Town Hall, where local stories and community spirit come to life.
It’s the perfect balance of culture and calm — an easy-paced, three-hour experience that celebrates Hereford’s soul, from its cathedral stones to its flowing riverbanks.
