About this Event
Join us for a fun afternoon creating your very own herb planter. A relaxing hands-on activity learning all about herbs, their optimal care, and how to propagate them - so you’ll never run out of your favourite kitchen flavours or herbal teas! We will explain which combination of herbs can be planted together. There will be a wide variety of herbs to choose from, and you will go home with a lovely planter.
We will also sow some vegetable seeds that will be placed in Present Made Eddington’s green house, and we will discuss which plants are suitable to grow in the green house. We will discuss how residents can make the most of the green house to enjoy home grown food.
The workshop will be run by local plants and flower business Battersea Bloem, and all ages are welcome; but children under the age of 14 should be accompanied by an adult and must be able to use scissors independently. Please note this workshop is for residents only. We will bring everything you need (including adult aprons to protect clothing), but if you don’t like getting your hands dirty, you might want to bring a pair of gardening gloves.
Battersea Bloem is happy to answer all your horticultural questions and will bring along different stages of plants in order to explain the growing process. A fun botanical afternoon awaits!
