Celebrating 10 Years of Growing Together!The Herb Society of America Baton Rouge Unit is celebrating the 10th anniversary of our annual Herb Day on Saturday, February 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden, 4650 Essen Lane, in Baton Rouge.
Inaugurated in 2016, Herb Day has grown bigger and better each year, attracting thousands of herb enthusiasts annually. In addition to the multitude of herbs for sale in the Pavilion, we offer free classes on herb growing and related topics in the Conference Center.
Local artisans and craftspeople will be set up in front of the Orangerie, and inside, visitors can check out more vendors and visit our Tea Bar, which features a variety of herbal teas and pastries. Food trucks will be on hand, and the Lagniappe Dulcimer Society will provide live music.
There's something for everyone, from the kids to the grandparents! Admission is free. Bring a wagon and come prepared to spend the day immersed in all things herbal!
