Phoenix Rising: Trials of Heracles 2026 is an inaugural, unsanctioned strongman event benefiting At Ease USA, supporting mental health care and suicide prevention for veterans, active military, first responders, healthcare workers, and their families.This competition is built around five epic events designed to test grit, endurance, and strength:
Frame Deadlift
Axle Clean and Press
Carry Medley
Hephaestus Hammers
Heracles Hold
With 18 divisions, including Novice, Women-only, Teen and a special Heroes category, this event is intentionally inclusive. Whether this is your first strongman competition or you’re a seasoned competitor below the pro level, you belong here.
The name Phoenix Rising reflects what this event stands for: resilience. It honors those who have faced mental health challenges, addiction, or difficult life circumstances and kept going. If that story is yours or someone you love’s, you are seen, recognized, and welcome here.
A special spotlight will be placed on healthcare workers of all disciplines, who answer the call for others every day while often putting their own mental health last. Healthcare professionals are invited to register in the Heroes category and will be recognized on competition day.
We’re proud to partner with Drip Athletic Club in Omaha as our key sponsor. Competition implements will be housed at Drip as fabrication wraps up, Stop by Open Gym every Thursday from 6:00–7:00 PM at 90th and Blondo to check them out and get inspired before February 21st!
