About this Event
Join Us for a Day of Wellness and Resiliency! Hosted by The Governor's Prevention Partnership and MENTOR as part of the Black and Brown Girls National Movement, this summit aims to ignite the fire within every girl to be her best. Through a dynamic and transformative day filled with fun and engaging workshops, discussions, and social connection, the Summit will empower BIPOC girls between 12-17 years of age and their adult mentors with the skills and resources they need to achieve overall wellness. Sessions include educational workshops and small discussions on topics like self-advocacy, H.E.R. voice, and healthy relationships, as well as self-care activities like yoga, sound healing, and much more!
PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU REGISTER
Each youth must attend the Summit with an adult and must stay at the Summit for the entirety of the event.
All youths and Mentors/Adults must register in advance for the Summit. Each Mentor/Adult must complete a separate registration for herself and each girl who will come to the Summit with her.
Mentors/Adults are responsible for the transportation, safety, and supervision of youth during the Summit. Mentors/Adults may bring no more than four girls per adult.
Mentors/Adults who complete the registrations must ensure that the Parental Consent Form and Media Release Form are completed, signed, and sent to us prior to the Summit.
Therefore, Mentors/Adults will need to have the contact information for each youth and their parent/legal guardian (e.g., names, email addresses and phone numbers), as well as the name of your affiliated mentoring program(s).
Once registration is submitted, a confirmation email will be sent to the Mentor/Adult who completed the registration. The confirmation email will contain the Parental Consent Form, the Media Release Form, and a link to use to submit the signed forms to us.
Paper forms are available upon request.
