New Haven was one of Lafayette’s longest stops in Connecticut in 1824.
After an elaborate breakfast, city officials gave Lafayette a grand tour of the city including the beautiful elm tree lined Green, Yale College, and Grove Street Cemetery. Walk in Lafayette’s footsteps in New Haven and tour these sites two hundred years later. In the evening, meet Lafayette in person at an
event at the New Haven Museum, an elegant Colonial Revival style building designed by J.
Frederick Kelly in 1929.

As this event is still in the planning stages, please check back regularly for details.
