A resilient hen makes her escape from a chicken farm, survives predators and dangers natural and industrial and finds refuge in the courtyard of a crumbling restaurant where she discovers love and the challenges of motherhood. A parable of animal and human relationships, her journey reflects the messy challenges and compromises of everyday human lives. The film is an amazing feat of animal training and skilful editing, switching from comedy to horror and back again. A tour de force from acclaimed Hungarian film director György Pálfi.
