About this Event
Helene Cronin AND Scott Sean White
Join us for an intimate evening of stories and songs under the stars with two of Texas’ finest singer-songwriters: Helene Cronin and Scott Sean White. Set in the relaxed and welcoming setting of the Bowman Backyard, this is your chance to experience the magic of live acoustic music in its purest form.
Helen's deeply honest lyrics and soulful voice blend beautifully with Scott’s poetic songwriting and heartfelt delivery. Both artists bring songs that speak straight to the heart, sharing the kind of stories that linger long after the last chord fade
Texas artist, Helene, describes herself as a story-singer. She shares her life through songs that resonate with emotional truth, adds some imagination, then invites her listeners into the storybook. Her vulnerability and the intricate detail in her writing make her songs highly relatable to audiences. For Helene, this connection is vital and brings everything full circle.
A 2018 New Folk Winner at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival, Helene's style is a merger between the raw roots of Americana and the polished song-craft of Nashville's Country. Never setting out to be a "star", songwriting brought her to the stage and she possesses a voice as much a character as the ones that inhabit her songs.
Helene has had songs recorded by Cody Johnson, rising star Bryan Martin, Heidi Newfield, Janelle Arthur feat. The Isaacs, The Young Fables and many others. She travels regularly to Nashville and is well-connected in that songwriting community, writing for and with other artists.
As a performing artist, Helene continues to record her own projects. Her 3rd full-length record, MAYBE NEW MEXICO, was just released in March 2025. In 2023, she released LANDMARKS, the much anticipated follow-up to her critically acclaimed debut, OLD GHOSTS & LOST CAUSES. A surprise Christmas EP, BEAUTIFUL DECEMBER also came out in '23. Her most well known song "Lucky Me" has led to an appearance on national TV (the Mike Huckabee show) and countless military events, including some honoring our nation's Medal of Honor recipients.
"Helene knows how to craft a song. She just as importantly knows how to deliver one. There’s a world of emotions on this new record wrapped up in tasteful production. Smartly, it stays out of the way of her heartfelt vocals. Go get it.” -Radney Foster, re: the album MAYBE NEW MEXICO
Scott Sean White is a touring singer-songwriter who has had several songs recorded by country superstar Cody Johnson - two on Cody’s album “Human” - including “God Bless the Boy” and “Made a Home,” and one called “Over Missing You” on Cody’s latest album - the deluxe version of “Leather.” Scott plays 120-150 shows a year at house concerts and listening rooms all over the country, and has also had several songs recored by Bryan Martin as well, including “Years in the Making,” “Poets and Old Souls,” and “Wishbone.”
Scott makes his home these days in Poetry, Texas, a perfectly named little town for a songwriter’s songwriter. His first album, "Call It Even," came out in April 2021, and Jack Ingram said, “Some songwriters spend precious time struggling to find their truth and make it rhyme. Others just pick up their guitar and tell it. Scott Sean White is one of the others.” His second album - “Even Better On the Bad Days,” debuted at #1 on the iTunes Singer-songwriter chart in January 2024.
He is a storyteller, both in his songs, and the moments in between songs, laying out his life experience - his faith and struggles - and intertwining it all with his craft. His live show is starkly honest, transparent, and eye-opening - full of laughter and probably a few (good) tears, too.
