About this Event
On the evening of the first quarter moon, invites you into a guided, multi-sensory experience designed to heighten perception and deepen your connection to both self and artwork.
Part 1: Cacao
Guests will be welcomed into the gallery and invited to settle into a comfortable, grounded position within the exhibition space. The experience will open with a ceremonial cacao offering led by Day Monet, rooted in ancient Mesoamerican traditions where cacao has long been used to open the heart, deepen awareness, and support connection.
Ceremonial-grade cacao—rich in magnesium, antioxidants, and theobromine—provides a gentle, sustained energy that encourages clarity, presence, and receptivity. Through intentional guidance, breath, and shared atmosphere, the ceremony creates a space for inward connection while attuning to the collective field of the room.
Part 2: Sound Bath
As the experience deepens, lighting will soften and guests will be invited to recline. A live sound bath led by will follow, incorporating Neptune gong, koshi chimes, and singing bowls. Sound waves will move through the space, shifting the experience from observation into embodiment—where the artwork is not only seen, but felt.
Held within the context of a contemporary exhibition, this immersive environment expands the traditional viewing experience, inviting a slower, more intuitive engagement with the work on view.
Part 3: Art Exploration
Following the sound bath, lights will gradually rise and guests will have the opportunity to move through the gallery, reflect, and explore the exhibition by more deeply in conversation with curator Jovian Browne.
