Heels 2 Healed: Women's Empowerment Brunch
As a woman who has gone through challenges from what we would call just surviving back in the day, but in reality it was surviving trauma. I created Heels 2 Healed because I now know I am not alone. I’m not the only woman who has experienced childhood trauma, became a teen parent, or even been affected by some sort of abuse. I honestly had no one to turn to so I dealt with it in silence. I didn’t have the correct tools to deal with what I was experiencing, I tried to do it on my own and of course that didn’t work. You know that saying when you tried everything try God and that’s exactly what I did. I stopped running and was made to sit still with only God to turn to. During this time I learned to give it all to him, seek a counselor and make the necessary life adjustments. I’m just a woman like any other that God is using to share my journey to help another woman heal from that hurt. This brunch is for us to connect, release, empower and uplift each other. So ladies put on your favorite heels (or flats) and wear any shade of fuchsia, yellow or orange. These colors represent for me an awakening in my soul.
