She first played Heavy Sound in 1985, and now, 41 years later, sheโs bringing a one-of-a-kind oldschool setlist. Formed in London in 1976, ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ are among the founding bands of the NWOBHM. Their 1980 debut album became a cult classic and influenced bands from Metallica to Candlemass. Led by founder Kevin Heybourne, they celebrate 50 years of Angel Witch and return to Belgium to bring their dark, melodic heavy metal to Poperinge!

Founded in Newcastle in 1974 by brothers John and Mark Gallagher, ๐๐๐๐๐ helped define speed and thrash metal with their aggressive โAthletic Rockโ style. Albums like Rock Until You Drop and All for One became landmarks of the scene. After their last Heavy Sound appearance in 2014, Raven are back in Poperinge after 12 years!

๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ are the most iconic all-female heavy metal band of the NWOBHM era. Formed in London in 1978, they toured with Motรถrhead and released classics like Hit and Run. Girlschool played Poperinge in 1980 at โt Belfort, and return to Heavy Sound after 46 years with the same raw rock โn roll spirit!

Founded in 1981 by former Angel Witch bassist Kevin Riddles, ๐๐๐๐๐ became known for their melodic and classy NWOBHM sound. Their album Rough Justice remains an underground favourite. Heavy Sound 2026 features a special Kev Riddles Memorial Show, honouring both his legacy and the bandโs long history.

Formed in London in 1983, ๐๐๐๐๐๐ are one of the cult names of the NWOBHM underground. Their debut The Son of Odin blended classic heavy metal with epic themes and remains a collectorโs favourite. In Poperinge they celebrate 40 years of The Son of Odin with original members on stage.

๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ represent the new generation of traditional heavy metal, mixing melody with oldschool power. Frontman Julian Izard is the son of the late Didier Izard of H-Bomb. Alongside their own set, they perform a special H-Bomb tribute, linking todayโs scene with Heavy Soundโs history in Poperinge.
