Heavy Light: Luminescent Ceramics is James Ibur's Los Angeles art debut featuring new ceramic works that offer an unconventional variety of approaches to supporting and accentuating light.
Drawing inspiration from the infrastructure of both the natural and modern worlds, Ibur’s stoneware and porcelain works highlight the meditative quality of these objects that both hold and project light.
Ibur, a multimedia artist who maintains multiple studios in St. Louis, Missouri, has shown his ceramics and mixed-media work nationally for over thirty-five years and is featured in a number of prominent collections.
