Discover Bystock Pools nature reserve and enjoy a family fun day with crafts, displays, pond dipping, walks and more.Heath Week is a week-long celebration of East Devon’s heaths. Join us for a family-friendly day at Bystock Pools nature reserve, with pond dipping, walks, trails, wildlife stands and activities to learn more about why heathland is so special for wildlife and people. In the evening, we will be back for a bat walk with local expert Sara Butcher.

Accessibility:
- Please note there are no toilets on the site.
- The meadow area is not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies (the pond entrance has rough paths and a boardwalk).
- Parking is very limited - please book your parking slot via Eventbrite, or park nearby at Wheathill or Squabmoor Reservoir Car Parks.
- Please do not park on the roads, to maintain access for other users.
Please keep dogs on leads on the reserve. No dogs (except assistance dogs) for the bookable activities.
Arrive at the North entrance of the reserve (What3Words ///widen.slime.spinning)- accessible via the minor road off the B3179 at the Hulham Road junction. Parking will be organised for the event in the north field (please book via eventbrite as spaces are limited).
This event is organised as part of Heath Week 2024. Heath Week celebrates our heathland heritage with a week of events reflecting the ecology, history and recreational importance of the East Devon Pebblebed Heaths. Enjoy walks, talks and activities for all ages and interests.
