About this Event
Heartwork: Faith and Creative Healing is an evening of reflection and embodied practice centered on the spiritual heart and its development.
Shaykh Umair Haseeb, resident scholar of Mozaic, will offer reflections on the heart in the Islamic tradition—its states, vulnerabilities, and capacity for growth and healing.
Following the talk, Jannah Sellars, a Chicago-based art therapist, will guide participants through an interactive, art-based healing workshop, using creative expression as a means of reflection, processing, and inner connection. This facilitated experience invites participants to engage the themes of the talk through hands-on creative practice in a supportive environment.
This program is designed for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the heart, spiritual growth, and holistic approaches to healing that integrate faith and creativity.
No prior art experience is required. All are welcome.
