💔➡️✨ Healing through Glass & Metal ✨➡️💖
After losing my dad last year, I found myself creating with fragments—glass, metal, memory, and ashes—transforming my grief into beauty. That journey became my 2024 “Daddy’s Ashes” fused glass fusion collection , and now, for the first time ever, I’m bringing that treasure to Las Vegas!!
Join me April 16 or 17, 2026 for 1/3 intimate Glass & Metal Fusion Classes called “Hearts in Pieces: A Glass, Metal, Ceramic & Found object Workshop on Love, Loss & Letting Go!"
🎨 No experience needed—just your story, your heart, and the courage to create.
💎 Walk away with a piece that’s both art and memory.
Let’s turn loss into legacy together. ✨🔥
Here is my class description if you are intetedted in joining me! (I’ll just add the link once it’s up online!)
**********************
Don’t be fooled…THIS WILL BE A CELEBRATION!!!
Loss can shatter us—but through creativity, we can piece together something beautiful, bold, and entirely our own. In this deeply meaningful hands-on class, you’ll explore the transformative process of creating a one-of-a-kind wall hanging using glass, ceramics, copper foil, and found objects—all while honoring a person, pet, or part of your life story that deserves celebration or remembrance.
Led by award-winning artist, architect, entrepreneur and nonprofit founder Tina Ferguson, this workshop invites students into a raw, reflective creative space where emotion and quality craftsmanship come together. Each participant will be guided step-by-step through professional glass and mixed media techniques—including glass cutting, grinding, copper foiling, and soldering—while learning how to safely and beautifully incorporate small personal mementos such as jewelry fragments, handwriting samples, pet tags, meaningful charms, or even a small sealed vial for cremation ashes (included but optional).
Whether you come with a collection of meaningful “scraps” in your pocket or simply a desire to create from the heart, this class is built to hold space for you—your grief, your joy, your healing, your celebration of a loved one and most importantly your self-expression.
You’ll learn:
• How to cut, shape, and cold-work art glass for design cohesion and durability
• Grinding techniques to refine edges and prepare for foil wrapping
• How to use copper foil for binding glass, ceramics, and found elements
• Professional soldering techniques and safety tips for wall-hanging assembly
• Design composition strategies that balance emotion, form, and meaning
• Optional: how to safely and discreetly embed a sealed ash vial into your work
Tina brings over 20 years of experience in glass arts, architecture, and grief-inspired creative work, including her new mixed media collection, “Daddy’s Ashes”, a memorial art line creating family heirlooms from loved ones stories. As someone who has used art to navigate recent deep personal loss, she understands how creativity can be both a form of catharsis/healing and a wildly colorful and happy celebration of the people, pets, and experiences that have shaped us to who we are today.
Students will leave with a small
complete, custom copper-foiled glass, metal, and found-object ornament or window/wall hanging, suitable for indoor or outdoor display and ready to hang in a sacred space, home studio, or altar wall. You’ll also leave with a new sense of creative empowerment—because art made from truth has a power and fierceness that nothing else can match.
Please note:
This class is designed to be inclusive and affirming. Whether you’re grieving, celebrating, or rediscovering your identity, this is a safe space to explore raw emotion through honest, hands-on craft. No prior glass or soldering experience is required—just an open heart.
