Join us for Heartland SwingOut, a dance event designed to bring together the swing dance communities across Iowa and the Midwest! Set in Des Moines, this exciting event will take place over the weekend of August 7-8, 2026. We’re hosting a full day of workshops, live music, social dances, and a mix-n-match competition, bringing all levels of dancers together for an unforgettable experience.

The event offers two different track levels:

• Level 1 Track: Ideal for those new to swing dancing or looking to refresh their basics, this track will give you the foundation to confidently hit the dance floor.

• Level 2 Track: For experienced dancers looking to challenge themselves, this track offers more complex moves and techniques to take your dancing to the next level.

Whether you’re here to be inspired in the workshops or to make new connections on the dance floor, Heartland SwingOut is the place to be! It’s an event filled with joy, music, and movement, and we can’t wait to share it with you!

Info: Kick off the weekend with our Beginner Swing Lesson on Friday night as part of the Level 1 track! Whether you’re new to swing dancing or just need a refresher, this 45-minute class will teach you the basics, including essential footwork and partner connection, to get you ready for the social dance later in the evening.

Enjoy a night of live music, dancing, and fun as this talented band brings the best of swing to the floor. Whether you’re new to swing or a seasoned dancer, this lively event promises a great time for all. Tickets will also be sold at the door with cash or Venmo for this portion of the the event but are subject to availability and venue capacity.
