About this Event

On a HeartFlow embodied dance journey…

We are present with our breath.

We are present with our bodies.

We allow ourselves to feel.

We allow ourselves to be.

We let loose.

We let go.

We shake. We soften. We stomp. We float. We groove.

HeartFlow is:

Embodied dance, featuring elements of Fluentbody — a somatic movement practice — Ecstatic Dance, improvisational dance, and yoga. There is guided facilitation alongside free and intuitive movement and dance. Participants are encouraged to move in their own authentic way, listen to their bodies and meet their bodies with compassion. Connection to self and others is woven throughout the journey. 💃

What to expect:

The 75-minute session begins with an opening circle check-in, which is followed by short meditation that sets the intention for the journey. We then invite gentle movement, and gradually transition into more high energy movement (shaking and stomping) and dancing, which is balanced with slower songs that encourage participants to more deeply connect with their bodies.

Throughout the journey, participants may be invited to move and dance with others, channel their imagination and creativity, and tap into their unique voice and expression. The session ends with integration and meditation, lying down, and a closing circle. We move for 45-50 minutes. ❤️
There is no experience necessary, and all ages and abilities are welcome; participants are encouraged to modify when necessary! Connect with your heart and allow whatever is there to flow through you in a safe, supported space.

What should I bring?

Open mind and heart
Water bottle
Layers (since we’ll be dancing outside)
A yoga mat or blanket/towel for lying down on
Optional journal and pen/ pencil

We dance outdoors under the sky and the trees. We dance on a patio. There is a bathroom on site. There is street parking available, but it can be tricky to find, so give yourself time!
