This transformative event will explore the rich history and sacred traditions surrounding cacao, its profound benefits, and contraindications to ensure a safe and meaningful experience for all. Carla will share insights about the cacao we’ll be drinking, including its origins and the farmers who nurture it with care and reverence. Together we will practice gratitude, dance to help the cacao move through our bodies, and embark on a guided journey to connect with the Spirit of Cacao, inviting its wisdom and guidance into our hearts. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to deepen your connection with this sacred plant medicine.Your guide for this ceremony is Carla Eggert, Cacao Ceremonialist, Shamanic Coach, Fire Keeper, and Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master.

Contraindications:
- Cancer / chemotherapy / radiation / immunotherapy: please DO NOT register if any of these apply to you. Cacao is contraindicated in these cases.
- SSRI’s (depression or anti-anxiety medication): a very small dose (1/4 of an ounce of cacao) is recommended, if you choose to partake, until you are familiar with how your body responds to cacao.
- Pregnancy / Heart conditions / other health conditions: if you don’t already have a relationship with cacao, a very small dose (1/4 of an ounce of cacao) is recommended, if you choose to partake, until you are familiar with how your body responds to cacao.
Single serving packets of cacao will be available for purchase at the event for $5.50 each so you can take some home with you.
Please bring water (to stay hydrated, highly recommended), whatever you need to be comfortable (cushion, yoga mat, layers, blanket). Optional items: journal, pen, small item to place on the altar (will be returned to you)
