ABOUT:

For centuries, mystics and sages have known about the wisdom the human heart holds, and methods to tap into this source have been passed from teacher to student.

Heart Meditation is one such method. Some call it 'the path of the heart'.

The journey starts with learning to listen to your own heart beat, and this is made easier through the use of specific rhythms played on ancient frame drums.

Aside from the health benefits of becoming more heart connected, which can include lower stress levels and better sleep quality, the practitioner will also, over time, benefit from a deeper understanding of their true self and the source of their existence.

This half day workshop is aimed at helping you to distinguish and connect with your heartbeat and to gain a deeper understanding of the Heart Meditation method.

The workshop will run from 1.30pm - 6.00pm, with a 30min break in the middle and will include a combination of:

Relaxation and breath work
Heart Meditation theory and practice
Daf Drumming (Drums will be provided)

We suggest wearing comfy clothes so you are able to fully relax.

The cost of the workshop is based on covering room hire and any additional takings will be donated to charity.

Workshop Facilitators: Beverley Eve & Farzad Misaghi

Bev and Farzad run the Leamington Drumming Circle, a group that meets monthly at Therapy & Fitness on Warwick Street. Having both trained in this method of Heart Meditation for several years it brings them great joy to share the technique with anyone who is willing to learn.

Guest Teacher: Mehrdad Noorani

Mehrdad has explored different spiritual & esoteric paths; as a result, he has studied Gnosticism for the past 30 years and the last 20 years under the guidance of renowned Spiritual Master Dr Seyed Azmayesh. Having organised several cross cultural events, covering different spiritual paths as well as bringing together open minded scientists and spiritual masters, he is especially interested in bridging science and spirituality and creating a link between the East and the West.
