About this Event
Heart-related illnesses remain one of the leading causes of death in Canada, yet many of the factors that influence heart health are within our control. Understanding these factors and knowing what steps you can take to manage them can play an important role in supporting long-term cardiovascular health.
What to Expect:
- Understanding Risk Factors: Learn about common factors that can impact heart health and how to recognize them.
- Prevention Strategies: Explore practical steps that can help support heart health and reduce risk.
- Healthy Lifestyle Practices: Learn about practices that contribute to overall cardiovascular well-being.
- Accessing Resources and Support: Learn about available services and supports that can help you maintain and support your heart health.
This session will be led by Community Health Workers, who will provide practical information and guidance to help you better understand your heart health and ways to support it.
This program is presented by Toronto Public Library in collaboration with the West Toronto Ontario Health Team (OHT), a network of over 40 local health and social service providers working together to improve the health and well-being of communities in West Toronto.
