The artists:
PUSCHA + KAT
PUSCHA + KAT is a local collab between Jake Richards-Curry and Katerina Stathis. With their shared love of 20th century minimalist approaches, they offer deep thought and reflection while sonically treading uncanny lines between accessible evocations and rich timbral electronic textures. A playful dialogue inducing otherworldly visions for a hopeful future.

Adam Rudegeair
Adam Rudegeair is a pianist, educator, and broadcaster based in Melbourne. Adam’s musical interests include New Orleans piano stylings, Prince and the Minneapolis sound, and film soundtracks. For his Hear the Machine performance, Adam will be interpreting tracks from his 2022 album Nourse Mythology. Most of this material has never been performed live before. The album is inspired by the unruly multiverse of Blade Runner, and is named for Alan E Nourse, who coined the term in 1974.

ALKEMAYA
ALKEMAYA is an experimental, improvisation live hardware artist, and one half of synth/drum duo KALAMAYA. Her sonic practice involves intuitive, in the moment sound design ranging from deep drone oscillations, to textural soundscapes. Driven by unpredictability her music takes listeners on a neo-psychedelic journey to the unknown.
