About this Event
Join Heaps Estrin real estate agent and architectural historian Alex Corey for a Storied Homes walking tour of Riverside in South Riverdale. The tour will explore the neighbourhood's transformation from a working-class village — annexed by the City of Toronto in 1884 — into one of the city's first streetcar suburbs, and will stop at the Broadview Hotel, De Grassi Street, and the vernacular workers' cottages and Victorian homes that have housed East Enders for over a century.
Note: All proceeds from our Storied Homes Walking Tours are directed to charitable organizations within the neighbourhoods where the walks take place. For this event, donations will support St. John the Compassionate Mission, a Riverside institution serving the community's most vulnerable residents since 1986.
The walk will start at Bruce Mackey Park (DeGrassi north of Queen).
