Healthy living in Paulsgrove - community workshop

On Saturday 18 May, we (Health and care Portsmouth) are hosting a community workshop for our project - Healthy Living in Paulsgrove - and we would like to invite you to come along.

There'll be tea/coffee and bacon/egg baps for everyone!

At the workshop, we'll be talking about the things we've heard residents want to live happier and healthier lives. These include:

• Activities, events and support for children and families
• Community activities and services - for all ages
• Transport - to/from the supermarket, North Harbour, Mountbatten, further into Paulsgrove
• A community space - a place to meet and talk, a hive of activity, potential for a charity shop etc.
• Shopping and food - making healthy choices, budget restraints, cooking classes, cooking on a budget, food bank
• Using online services - shopping, banking, healthcare etc.
• Health - accessing GP practices, dentistry, mental health, loneliness
• Awareness - knowing what's available/accessing services
• Raising aspirations and upskilling - motivating young people, developing skills, volunteer workforce
• Greening/environment
  

We want to invite you to talk about the subjects that are important to you, so you can help develop ideas for a happy, healthy community in Paulsgrove.

Everyone in Paulsgrove is welcome to attend.

You'll be welcomed by Hayley and Jo from Health and Care Portsmouth - a group of organisations working together to make health and social care better in Portsmouth.

Tea/coffee and bacon baps will be available for free, for everyone who attends.
