About this Event
The Marin Y, part of the YMCA of Greater San Francisco charitable organization, will be hosting the Y’s annual Healthy Kids Day on Saturday April 18th from 11am-4pm, located at your local Marin Y facility, 1500 Los Gamos Drive in San Rafael. This free, annual event features a variety of family-friendly activities to encourage healthy kids, healthy families and a healthy start to the summer season.
Healthy Kids Day’s mission is to prepare Marin families for a safe, healthy and fun summer. Some featured activities include:
- Free recreational swim for kids starting at 12:30pm
- Free swim assessments for kids starting at 1pm
- An Open House of the full Marin Y facility & offerings
- A full schedule of free class demonstrations
- A bounce house
- Free smoothies made by you via bike pedal power
- A host of local community resources that support healthy living for families
- Crafts, facepainting, and STEM project-making
- Games, obstacle courses, hoop contests, and more
The first hundred families that come will receive a free swag bag. Families who fill out their Healthy Kids Day “passport” at the event will be entered into a raffle to win a free three-month household membership to the Marin Y, including access to the pool and classes and wellness offerings.
