Talk Description
This talk offers a bird's-eye view of how disinformation campaigns are designed to take advantage of our psychology as well as the nature and structure of our information systems. Professor Andy Perfors will discuss how the incentive structures and nature of these systems are misaligned with human cognition, and how this is exploited by malicious actors. You'll also walk away with some ideas for what we can do as both individuals and organisations or institutions.
