"Feel the Pulse" Hip Hop Dance Class by Janice Tomlinson and Hands-Only CPR

Info: (11/15) Janice Tomlinson, a professional choreographer, dancer, dance teacher, and Cardiac ICU nurse, combines her passions, knowledge, and experiences to create "Feel the Pulse" hip hop dance class. This class aims to teach musicality and body mechanics helpful to perform CPR using hip hop techniques. Hands-Only CPR class with FDNY follows the dance class to practice on mannequins and provide more useful tips to save a life. Info: (11/16) Sincerity is an Ecuadorian-American artist, writer, performer, educator and cultural ambassador from Brooklyn, NY. She appeared on the Netflix Series- Ladies First: A Story of Women in Hip Hop. She is also featured in Queens of Rap available on BBC Channel 4 in the U.K. As a Hip Hop Ambassador, she has traveled to six countries performing and facilitating hip hop workshops. Most recently, Sincerity opened up for Scarlip in Brooklyn and released Vida Sabrosa featuring BayC from T.O.K.
Activate your creativity and imagination by learning how to develop lyrics and rhymes with fundamental techniques. Nutrition Class with a registered dietician follows afterward. In this class, you'll learn the mind-body connection that occurs when we eat, along with tips on healthy nourishment practices. "Empower Yourself"- Graffiti Writing and Mental Health Workshop

Info: (11/30) Learn how to express yourself through graffiti writing from internationally-renowned graffiti artist, Shiro1. Shiro's artwork is an exploration of classic New York urban history through the lens of an artist who reveres Hip Hop culture. Her artwork is a prime example of the fusion of Japanese aesthetics and old school New York graffiti art. She has traveled and created murals in 19 countries on 5 continents and more to come. Please note this event is indoors, so spray paint will not be used. We will provide art supplies. Mental Health workshop with licensed social worker will provide insight on the connection between art and mental wellness, as well as, healthy coping mechanisms during difficult times.
