About this Event
We want to support successful, safe volunteering in Bristol's Parks.
To help volunteers undertake work safely and in line with Bristol City Council's policies, Bristol Parks provide monthly sessions free of charge to volunteer leaders.
The Parks Volunteer Health and Safety course will raise awareness of the main considerations in organising and running a volunteer activity in a green space.
Among other topics, we'll cover risk assessments, tool use, hazardous plants and how to find additional support. The session will be a mix of presented information, practical examples and group discussions.
Thank you for considering this course. We hope your training will allow us to work together better to improve Bristol's green spaces for everyone.
