Healing our land with native wildflowers: The importance of native plants

Please join the Vankleek Hill Horticultural Society for this month's meeting. Our speaker will be Butterflyway Ranger Shauna Wanamaker, representing EcoEast and David Suzuki's Butterflyway Project.
With the loss of 40% of our insects and terrestrial birds world wide, and the complete decimation of our land in the name of development and progress, the Butterflyway Project aims to show people how they can make simple changes in their own yard that will help heal our land by building healthy, native ecosystems that living creatures can live and thrive in, while beautifying yards and neighbourhoods. Shauna will teach us about the benefits of planting native wildflowers, pollinator pathways and how the simple action of planting native plants can heal our land.
Join us on May 21, 7pm, Knox Church Hall. Open to all (2$ entrance fee).
