Healing in the Garden: An Evening with the Authors

Ready for spring planting? Join EarthMind staff members Jen Kardos and Fred Meyer, co-authors of "Low-Maintenance Eco Gardens" (https://www.earthmindpractice.org/ecogardensbook), for an inspiring and practical conversation about creating a self-care garden—one designed to care for people and itself.
Through readings and discussion from the book, Jen and Fred will explore how thoughtful garden design can support calm, beauty, health, and connection to the natural world. Jen, a therapist and health coach, will share the science behind gardening and well-being. Fred, a permaculture designer and wilderness guide, will offer simple, eco-friendly ideas for creating a garden that is both restorative and easier to maintain.
You’ll leave with fresh inspiration for the season, practical design ideas, and new ways to think about your garden. There will be plenty of time for Q&A.
Prairie Lights Bookstore will be there selling the book and other gardening books.
After the presentation, you are invited to take part in a seed swap. Bring extra seed packets to share or to donate to the library’s seed library.
The class is free and open to everyone. There is no need to register.
