About this Event
Welcome. This is a safe place for you to heal and connect with yourself and others if you wish, take what you need, give what you can. I will guide you through a beautiful vinyasa yoga class with warmth, awareness of triggers, in a meaningful, soul nourishing way.
I am a domestic violence survivor. I experienced 10 years of domestic violence (psychological, emotional, verbal, financial, physical and legal abuse), narcissism and alcoholism from my ex. After spending years of healing, growing and learning, I have transformed from barely surviving each day to living a life of freedom, on purpose. I am an international speaker on coercive control, author of My Life on Eggshells and a Domestic Violence Survivor Mentor having founded The Freedom Mentor.
Yoga was absolutely fundamental to my healing journey. I am now so humbled to be a teacher of vinyasa yoga so I can teach others the beauty of yoga. I provide a calm, passionate energy to inspire you as part of your growth as you move with intention through the flow of yoga.
This yoga class will be held Wednesday fortnightly. If there's demand, more classes will be added. Please be sure to check back and book into the next class!
I am very humbled to be able to offer this yoga class through the good people at Human.Kind on Halifax St. You won't find this class on their schedule as it is run privately through myself. They have gifted us access to Studio 3, at the rear of their space. When you go upstairs to the reception, just let them know that you're there for the Healing & Wellness Yoga in Studio 3 with Amy.
All levels of fitness welcome.
