A series of in-person workshops designed to integrate healing and awakening into your daily life. No prior experience required.
About this Event

Healing 101: Lighting the Lamp is a series of workshops designed to integrate healing and awakening into your daily life. No prior experience is needed; students and practitioners of the healing arts are also welcome. These workshops are open to people of all faiths and spiritual traditions, including zero faith or spiritual impulse beyond coffee.

The topics will differ from session to session, but the overall aim of the series is to help you access more freedom and creativity, deepen your innate compassion and kindness, and discover more of your true nature.

FORMAT

The series consists of three stand-alone workshops (one topic per month). Participants may register for one or more topics; a discount is offered to those who register for all three sessions.

Each meeting will include a short lecture, group discussion, and an in-class practice that you can continue beyond the classroom. Class size is limited to 10, to foster small-group intimacy and connection.

Tea and coffee will be provided.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS

Session 1 – What Is Healing? (2 hours)

The spiritual marketplace is full of ideas about healing and how best to achieve it. But what do we even mean by “healing”? And how do we cut through the clamor of inner and outer voices to figure out what we need in the moment?

Join me for an in-person exploration of how to cultivate healing in our everyday lives.

Session 2 – Doing More with Less (2 hours)

It’s hard to resist the siren song of self-improvement. We often think we need to be better, smarter, faster, stronger—some perfected version of ourselves—in order to reach the next rung of worthiness. But what riches might we discover if we redirected our energies toward embracing all of who we already are?

Join me for an exploration of a nondual healing approach to life.

Session 3 – What is Kindness? (2 hours)

Tough love. Retail therapy. Buttered toast. We’ve all been on the giving and receiving end of various forms of kindness, some of which feel more – or less – nourishing in the moment. Why do our own or others’ attempts at kindness sometimes miss the mark? How do we summon kindness when we don’t feel kindly toward ourselves and others?

Join me as we reimagine what true kindness might look like in our daily lives.
