Headwater Lakes of Prior Lake Tour

You may be familiar with Upper and Lower Prior Lakes and Spring Lake, but did you know the Watershed District is home to many smaller lakes that eventually flow into Lower Prior Lake?

Join us for an afternoon bus tour of some of these lesser-seen lakes. Along the way, we’ll stop at Swamp Lake, Sutton Lake, Fish Lake, and Buck Lake — each with its own unique beauty and ecological importance. While many of these lakes are tucked away on private land or only visible from the roadside, they play a vital role in the water quality and overall health of the watershed.

Throughout the tour, we will share insights into the management, challenges, and significance of each lake.

Know Before You Go

• We will depart from Prior Lake City Hall by bus
• Light snacks and water will be available on the bus.
• Be prepared for short walks on uneven terrain at some stops.
• Comfortable shoes and layered clothing are recommended.
