Ever wanted to clean a headstone, but didn’t know how? Afraid of damaging the stone or breaking the rules? Well, Wildwood Cemetery has the perfect educational program for you. On Saturday, May 16th at 12pm we will be hosting a headstone cleaning workshop at the cemetery. For $25 you can get a detailed lesson on headstone maintenance, hands on experience cleaning them yourselves, and your name on a registry of cleaners at Wildwood Cemetery for lots in need of care.
For $75 you’ll also get your own full kit including all of the tools, cleaner, and essential items to ensure the headstone is safely maintained. This event is the perfect opportunity to learn best practices and to apply them to your own lot at Wildwood, or to try it out at other cemeteries (with permission). Our goal is to make Wildwood better every day, and we can’t do that without you. If you have any questions or would like to register, please send us a DM for more info! We currently have 11 kits left and would love to see them go to fellow caretakers. You can certainly show up and pay, but kits are limited (ask us if you’d like to purchase one!) and remember… Wildwood is outstanding because it belongs to you, the people.
