A warm winter evening of kai, kōrero, and learning together.
Have you wanted to try making rēwena or fried bread? At MMCC we hear the kūmara vine calling — and because we can, we will.
Come along for a hands-on koha session where we’ll learn the basics of creating your own rewena bug and making delicious bread to share. No experience needed, just bring yourself and a willingness to get your hands floury.
What to bring:
• 1 medium clean jar with lid
• 1 x 1.5kg bag of flour
• 1 large bowl or container
• 2 clean tea towels
• Shared plate of kai
• Koha appreciated, but only if you can
There’ll be warmth, shared kai, stories, and good company as we gather during the Matariki season.
