Learning Outcomes
· The rationale for using the ABCDE assessment
· Able to take Vital Signs in specific order whilst using ABCDE assessment relating to anatomy and physiology
· ECG monitoring arrhythmias and taking of 12 lead ECG
· Recognising deteriorating signs understanding implications and actions required
· Recognizing the different types of shock its implications and specific care requires
· How and need to escalate using SBAR
· Understanding why things go wrong and ensuring an engaging, collaborative working environment
· The function of primary & secondary assessments
· Recognition of life-threatening events and required actions
· Treatment of life-threatening conditions and understanding your limitations
· Documentation and Handover
· Certificate on Completion of workbook and Training day
