Welcome,The cognoscenti of Science!
Science, by definition, has a noble purpose; a purpose to serve humanity, as Louis Pasteur remarks, “𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙨 𝙣𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙮, 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙪𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙.”
A question arises, what is the prime aspect of a scientist?
An obvious answer must be - Having an ingenious brain.
𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯 is, indeed, a mighty organ which comprises some astonishing 86 billion neurons, and certainly holds a mysterious cognitive opulence. However, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯 will gradually become dysfunctional without 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵, because 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 is what keeps the brain 𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 by pumping blood into it. Again,
𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 cannot function perfectly without directions from 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯. As if they're in a perennial agreement of supporting each other, the two organs coexist like amiable neighbors. The qualities respectively attributed to 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯 and 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵, in a similar way, require mutual consistency to flourish in their true forms. Intelligence is dignified with the tinge of compassion, and empathy becomes worthy when it's coupled with erudition.
Hence, we put forth the argument that hearts have just as significant of a role as brains in giving birth to a 𝘚𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵. How can a person, who does not possess the goodwill to help others, develop an innovative technology to do the same? The universal aim of Science being the alleviation of humanity's problems and the formation of a better world, it is the cardinal facet of a scientist to be more humane. With the philosophy that one’s ingenuity becomes laudable only when it is fused with human traits, Holy Cross College Science Club is introducing the “𝟐𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒” where you will have the magnificent opportunity to create a symphonious synergy between your brain and heart.
The perpetual tug of war between your brain and heart proposes an incessant prospect of creating exquisite ideas, and we are devoted to presenting you a precise setting which enables you to explore your inner potential. Be a part of this delicate occasion and embody what A.P.J Abdul Kalam mentioned, “𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙜𝙞𝙛𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙬𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙞𝙩.”
