We are delighted to add this new date to our calendar at the end of the main season, to promote the sport of hunting the clean boot.
Hounds will meet at Buskhill Farm, nr Leavening, by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Needler, and will hunt several short lines around their stunning farm. Hunting will be nearly all on grassland with plenty of optional jumping.
This meet is aimed at children and newcomers, so lines will be short, and there will be a variety of inviting jumps to have a go at. This is a truly fantastic place for watching hound work, with views of nearly the whole hunt from the meet, so foot followers are encouraged to join us to watch how hunting the clean boot really works!
Mounted places will be limited out of respect for the landowners, and the land we are lucky enough to be hunting on, so book quickly to secure your place.
Refreshments will be provided at the meet, by our very kind hosts, with a little Easter sweet treat for the kids!
Please no arrivals before 11:30am, please be mounted by 12:00pm, hounds will move off around 12:30pm. U18s should wear tweed, adults should wear black/navy, although tweed is also fine for newcomers. Horses should ideally be plaited or hogged (running plaits are fine), and must be clean and tidy.
Parking is at the meet, but riders MUST clear up after their horses around the horesboxes please.
Cap is £35 adults, £25 u18s.
A suggested donation of £5 per person for foot followers will be gratefully received.
