About this Event
Please join us on the foreshore, just behind the Esso Garage at 181 Havant Road, Hayling Island between 10am - Midday on Thursday 9 April for a public beach clean. Every bit of litter and rubbish we pick up makes a difference.
The exact meeting point is here: https://w3w.co/dormant.gong.padlock
Parking is limited at the beachfront but there is additional parking on the roads opposite. Please be careful crossing the busy road to get to the shore.
This is a sensitive site for bird populations, and as such we ask that you listen carefully to the briefing to understand which areas should be avoided to prevent bird disturbance.
The Final Straw Foundation will provide gloves, litter pickers, bags and buckets, but if you have any of your own of these that you would like to use please bring them.
Our community beach cleans are open to individuals and small groups. If you're a business or corporate group looking to join, for your volunteering hours or team-building, we’ll need to arrange a bespoke private clean for you. These private cleans support our charity through a donation, ensuring we can continue our important work. Get in touch via [email protected] to book your tailored experience.
