Langcliffe Singers return to Giggleswick School Chapel on Saturday April 5 for a very special performance of The Creation in a concert starting at 7 pm.This choral masterpiece by Franz Joseph Haydn, considered by many to be his best choral work, tells the biblical story of the Creation in a combination of choruses, recitatives and arias.
Text for The Creation was written by Baron Gottfried van Swieten and is based on the book of Genesis, the Psalms, and John Milton’s Paradise Lost.
It will be sung in English.
