Hawesome is a benefit concert for the Haw River Assembly, where the venue is the Haw River itself! The artists play from a dock on Saxapahaw Lake while you enjoy the show from a paddleboard, kayak, or canoe! $30 of your ticket price goes straight to the HRA, who help clean & protect our beloved river.

What began as a beloved neighborhood benefit series returns for its most ambitious event yet: a single, spectacular gathering that brings together music lovers, paddlers, and river stewards for a night you won't soon forget.
The Loose Lucies bring the joyful, free-spirited sound of the Grateful Dead and other classics to the Haw River. With a folk rock jam band approach applied to beloved songs of the 1960s, '70s, and '80s, the Lucies create exactly the kind of music that belongs on a river at golden hour — expansive, improvisational, and full of life. Expect rolling jams, sing-along moments, and the kind of musical chemistry that only comes from a group of musicians who genuinely love what they play. Whether you're a Deadhead or a newcomer to the jam band world, the Loose Lucies will have you swaying in your boat before the first verse is done.
Blake Tedder is a North Carolina native living in Hillsborough who has been writing and performing music for more than two decades. His songs draw on nature, place, and the old stories — exploring our relationship with the land and the mythic dimensions of life with a fundamentally spiritual orientation. Moving through a variety of styles, his performances blend poetry, humor, and reflection. Blake's music is the perfect opening for an evening on the river — rooted in the natural world and earnest in it’s calling us back from the speed and technology of modern life. His first EP Medicine Dogs will be released in 2026.
