Returning for 2025….local mental health charity Mind in Havering, Barking & Dagenham presents a unique and magical Christmas Attraction......Havering Christmas Land! With over 30,000 visitors in 2024 we are delighted to be back bigger and better this year!Located in Harrow Lodge Park, Hornchurch, Havering, RM11 1JU next door to Harrow Lodge Leisure centre, it features:
• The historic Harrow Lodge House building beautifully illuminated with twinkling lights
• A spectacular Christmas Lights Walk Way in the ‘Secret Garden’ next to the building
with 000s of stunning lights, decorations and Christmas scenes,
• A delightful Santa’s Grotto
• Food/refreshments/mulled wine & German beer served nightly
• A Children’s ride
This is a magical experience not to miss over the Festive Season!
BOOKING
Entry into the Walkway is split into 3 prices:
Super Off Peak - £5pp
Off peak - £6pp
Peak - £6.50pp
Babies under 2 go free (they don’t need a ticket) There are no concessions.
All money raised supports our work across both boroughs.
The Attraction will open to the public on the following evenings:
November: 28th , 29th and 30th
December: 2nd 3rd, 5th , 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 27th and 28th
January: 1st and 2nd
The Attraction this year is BOOKING ONLY.
The following arrival slots are available to book on each of the above evenings.
4:30pm, 4:50pm. 5:10pm, 5:30pm, 5:50pm, 6:10pm, 6:30pm, 6:50pm, 7:10pm, 7:30pm, 7:50pm
You are booking an ARRIVAL TIME. This is being done to stagger entry and cut queues to make your experience more enjoyable and safe for all our guests.
For example, if you book a 6:10pm slot that is the time you should arrive at. Please be aware that there may still have to wait in a small queue. Once inside the attraction you may stay as long as you wish. Tickets are non-transferable. Please can all ticket holders in your group arrive at the gate at the same time.
SEN FRIENDLY SESSIONS
We are holding 2 SEN friendly sessions on
Monday 1st December and Monday 8th December
6:10pm, 6:30pm, 6:50pm, 7:10pm, 7:30pm, 7:50pm
There will be less people booked in on these sessions and the music will be lower
BSL FRIENDLY SESSIONS
We are holding 2 Deaf friendly sessions on Sunday 7th and Tuesday 9th December. At these sessions a number of our volunteers will be using signed supported English to greet visitors! This will include the elf in the grotto.
DOG FRIENDLY SESSION
Whilst on a standard night dogs are not permitted into the walkway (except assistance dogs) we are planning on holding a ‘dog friendly session’ this year on Tuesday 2nd December.
Please note only well behaved dogs should attend and always be kept on a lead!
OUTDOOR DISCOS
Join us for a special night of festive fun at Havering Christmas Land at our first ever ‘Outdoor Disco’!
From 7pm – 10:30pm we have DJ playing all your favourite Christmas party tunes, outside in the magical setting of Christmas Land!
Come along for a fun filled evening of Christmas games, giveaways, party dances with our mascots and an appearance from Santa himself!
Food is on sale, as well as a bar selling mulled wine, German beer and more!
Tickets are £6.50pp. Children are welcome. The Christmas lights garden walkway will be open throughout.
Please remember this is an outdoor event so dress appropriately!
SANTAS GROTTO
Santa will be busy again this year so you will need to book to visit his Grotto.
Santa is in his Grotto on the following dates:
November: 28th , 29th and 30th
December: 1st (SEN), 2nd 3rd, 5th , 6th, 7th, 8th (SEN), 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th
£8 per child includes a wrapped Christmas gift and you are free to take your own pictures!
Presents are for ages 0-3, 3-5, 6-8 and 9+
Maximum number of people in the grotto at any one time is: 6
Please note: The Santa Grotto is NOT inside the Garden Walk. The queue for the grotto is separate and will be clearly signposted for visitors. All children (including babies) coming into the grotto must have a ticket.

Please note: Booking times are rough estimates only. Whilst we allocate 5 minutes per family to see Santa it may take slighting longer so you may still have a small wait in a short queue to see Santa. The queue line includes a covered area and lots of photo ops for the family!
SNOW GLOBE
On selected nights there will be a 'Snow Globe' on site for people to take pictures in! It will be £5 a go (maximum 8 people inside)
REFUNDS
We have a no refund policy unless we, the organiser, have to cancel the evenings Attraction, in which case visitors will be able to claim a refund or donate their entry fee to the charity.
OTHER INFORMATION
- All visitors should not under any circumstances touch, interfere with or climb on any structure, decoration or electrical item within the site. The organiser Havering Christmas Land/Mind in Havering, Barking and Dagenham will not be held responsible for any personal injuries and loss resulting from these actions.
-Dogs will not be allowed in the Garden Walk Way and Grotto (with exception of assistance dogs)
- For the avoidance of any doubt - this is NOT a fun fair!
- The attraction is in Harrow Lodge Park which is quite a big park! Please come to the HORNCHURCH ROAD entrance. DO NOT go to the Abbs Cross Lane or Upper Rainham Road entrances, as this will mean walking through a very dark park!
-There is a public carpark next to Havering Christmas Land but may get full quickly. It does have some disabled parking in it. Please use public transport if you can.
-Havering Christmas Land is wheelchair and buggy friendly
- There is an onsite toilet. Please do not use the nearby Harrow Lodge Leisure centre, unless you are a member. A baby changing area is available apon request
