About this Event
Join us as we gather for an end-of-the-week Havdala ceremony, creating a space of deep belonging by sinking into Kabbalistic ritual, ancestral wisdom, mystical song and chant, and deep connection.
What do you need to know in order to attend? Nothing! We'll explain everything and our songs are easy and simple to learn.
What's Havdala? An ancient Jewish ceremony to connect with your own strength and the power of the ancestors and to energetically prepare for the new week. Jewish, Jew-ish, and non-Jewish folks age 18+ are welcome!
What's Chant? Our sacred chant practice is a repetitive singing of a sacred word or phrase which can induce a transformative or even ecstatic spiritual experience.
Guided by Rav Jericho with sacred musician Carla Friend.
You're invited to wear white. This is a shoeless space. Please bring your own water bottle to aid in The Great Turning. We'll have yoga mats and bolsters, but feel free to bring your own cushion if you need extra support.
We start promptly at 5pm, so please arrive on time.
Post-ceremony gathering until 9 PM curated by our Community Weaver, Chloe Jacobs!
This event is made possible through the generousity of UJA Federation of New York and Lippman Kanfer Foundation for Living Torah.
