Le 31 août 2021, des jeunes entament une grève de la faim dans le quartier gouvernemental de Berlin afin d'attirer l'attention sur la crise climatique. Six mois plus tard, une partie du groupe se retrouve. Lina fait désormais partie du mouvement « Letzte Generation » (Dernière génération) et souhaite faire pression sur le gouvernement par le biais de la désobéissance civile. Cette forme de protestation ne va pas assez loin pour Taura, Guerrero, Charly et Fuchs : pour empêcher les points de basculement imminents, ils veulent emprunter d'autres voies...
Pendant un an, le cinéaste accompagne ses cinq protagonistes. Il les suit dans leurs actions et donne ainsi un aperçu des mouvements climatiques en Allemagne : « Fridays For Future », « Extinction Rebellion », « Ende Gelände » et « Letzte Generation ».
Le film renonce aux entrevues et plonge de manière intime dans le monde de l'activisme climatique radical. Tandis que Taura, Guerrero, Charly et Fuchs discutent entre eux de nouvelles stratégies, Lina se colle à la route avec « Letzte Generation ». Dans le même temps, la pelleteuse à charbon se rapproche de plus en plus de Lützerath et Guerrero, Charly et Fuchs doivent se préparer à l'évacuation imminente. La question qui se pose est la suivante : où se situent les limites de l'individu et jusqu'où le groupe ira-t-il pour défendre ses idéaux ?
La série "Je suis CONTRE! - Indignation, protestation et résistance au cinéma" est présenté par le Goethe-Institut Montréal en collaboration avec les étudiants du Collège Maisonneuve. Les projections de bienfaisance serviront à financer un voyage des étudiant.e.s à Berlin dans le cadre du Festival international du film de Berlin en février 2026.

On 31 August 2021, a group of young people go on hunger strike in Berlin's government district to draw attention to the climate crisis. Six months later, a part of the group meets again. Lina is now with the "Last Generation" and wants to pressurize the government through means of civil disobedience. For Taura, Guerrero, Charly and Fuchs, this form of protest is not enough: in order to stop the impending tipping points, they prefer to take further steps…
Filmmaker Felix Maria Bühler accompanies his five protagonists over the course of a year. He takes part in actions and offers an insight into the climate movements in Germany: "Fridays For Future", "Extinction Rebellion", "Ende Gelände" and "Last Generation".
The film does without interviews but rather delves into the world of radical climate activism in an intimate way. While Taura, Guerrero, Charly and Fuchs discuss new strategies among themselves, Lina literally sticks to the streets with the "Last Generation". At the same time, the gigantic coal excavator is digging ever closer to Lützerath, and Guerrero, Charly and Fuchs have to prepare for the upcoming eviction. The film series "Against it! - Indignation, protest and resistance in film" is presented by the Goethe-Institut Montreal in collaboration with students from Collège Maisonneuve.The donations collected at these screenings will be used to fund a trip for students to Berlin as part of the Berlin International Film Festival in February 2026.
