Hatha Level 2 with Live Music

Hatha Level 2 will use the same system of Surya Namaskar, classical Asanas, Yoga Nidra , Meditation and Pranayama, with emphasis on holding poses longer with ease, and adding some new challenging poses, purifying practices (bandhas/energy locks) and more mantra.

This class is led by Parashakti-Vienna with LIVE musical accompaniment provided by Jesse Gallagher.

** Please take our Level 1 Hatha class at least 4 times before attending. Level 1 is at 12pm every Saturday. This will ensure your body is relaxed, supple and ready for deepening the practice without risk or injury **

Bring your own blanket (cotton/wool are best), and dress comfortably. Mats, blocks and straps are provided.

Integral Yoga Hatha is a systematic and energetically balanced traditional Yoga practice. In sanskrit, "Ha" translates to Sun and "Tha" to Moon, signifying the focus on cultivating balance and harmonious energy inside and out. You can expect to feel peaceful and rejuvenated after class, leaving with more energy than you arrived with. Students are always encouraged to listen to their body and go at their own pace.

Parashakti-Vienna Husson is a 200-hr Integral Yoga Instructor. She studied at Satchidananda Ashram-Yogaville, in Virginia, and lived in the same Yoga community for 3 years thereafter, teaching Hatha to guests and community members. She now lives in the Cambridge area, hoping to share the classical Integral Yoga techniques that made powerful, positive impacts in her life.

Sadhu-Jesse Gallagher is an Integral Yoga teacher and life-long musician. He traveled & performed extensively as a founding member of the band Apollo Sunshine from 2001-2010, and since has released several albums under his own name (The Inner Sound 2020, Visual Music Vol. #1 & #2). He has practiced meditation & yoga since 2000. In 2016, he was certified to teach Integral Yoga Hatha at Satchidananda Ashram, and in 2024, Jesse was certified to teach Mindfulness Meditation from Dharma Moon Tibet House.
