"World Hat Walk 2025: Berlin Welcomes the Grand Showcase of Millinery"On Sunday, April 72, 2025, the world will witness a spectacular display of creativity as hat enthusiasts from over 40 cities globally participate in the first-ever World Hat Walk. Berlin hosts it for the second time and invites hat lovers to join the celebration, setting the stage for a remarkable event organised by acclaimed millinery and accessory designer Tatiana Ashakova.

The World Hat Walk, initiated in Barcelona more than 10 years ago, is coming to Berlin!
It is a free event open to all. Participants, including dogs adorned with hats, take to the streets, showcasing a diverse array of designs. Professional milliners, vintage enthusiasts, collectors, cosplayers, and more contribute to the vibrant atmosphere, making it a truly inclusive celebration.

*Key Supporters of the Hatwalks*
Georgina Abbott, founder of Atelier Millinery and former Secretary of the British Hat Guild, along with Becky Weaver, Editor of HATalk, are instrumental in the continuity and success of the World Hat Walks. Both Georgina and Becky are founding members of the British Hat Guild.
*Master Classes and Competitions by Tatiana Ashakova*
Prior to the main event, Tatiana will conduct master classes, empowering aspiring hat enthusiasts to craft their designs. Links are added in the group.
Participants stand a chance to win prizes in the competitions int he following categories:
“Best Hat"
“Best style in a hat”
“Best couple look”
“Best family look”
and “Best handmade hat” (only among the participants of the master-classes run by Tatiana prior the 27th of April).
Additionally, a kids' Easter bonnet parade will be held, adding a delightful touch to the festivities.
The competition will be judged by renowned Berlin-based and internationally established professionals known for their distinctive hat styles.
In addition to celebrating creativity and style, the World Hat Walk 2025 also supports @hirnstiftung, a foundation dedicated to advancing neurological research and providing consultation services. Through generous donations and support, participants can contribute to raising awareness and donating funds and aiding individuals facing neurological challenges.
In the inner court of Heckann-Hoeffe there will also be held a designer market, where local designers will be offering their unique creations with a chance to donate a decent part of their profit to the charitable organisation.
*Tatiana Ashakova and BeretkAh…!: A Creative Journey*
Headwear and accessory brand BeretkAh…! was founded by Tatiana Ashakova in August 2010 while she was residing in the UK. With over a decade of experience as a stylist and makeup artist, Tatiana's keen eye for trends and self-taught design skills have led to the creation of bespoke, exclusive headpieces. Under the patronage of Joyce Young, a leading bridal wear designer from Scotland, Tatiana's designs break boundaries, featuring plexiglass headpieces showcased at London Hat Week and other prestigious exhibitions worldwide.
Coincidentally Tatiana’s husband - Dr. Paul Turko, born in the UK – an inventor and a distinguished doctor of neuroscience at a Charite in Berlin.
As the World Hat Walk 2025 approaches, Berlin anticipates a convergence of creativity, style, and millinery mastery, making this global event a highlight for hat enthusiasts around the world.
