Featured Guest: Kendall Rae Johnson
Meet Kendall Rae Johnson — a young agricultural superstar who is already making a big impact.
What you should know about Kendall Rae:
- She became Georgia’s youngest certified farmer at age 6, and subsequently the youngest in the U.S.
- In 2025, at just 10 years old, she was awarded a full-ride scholarship to South Carolina State University for agriculture, via the 1890 Agriculture Innovation Scholarship.
- Kendall Rae is a USDA National Urban Agriculture Youth Ambassador, partnering with the NUag initiative to present educational tours, workshops, and youth outreach across the U.S.
- She founded a nonprofit, Kendall Rae’s Green Heart, to support youth in sustainability, agriculture, entrepreneurship, and green career pathways.
- Her story has inspired media coverage, awards, and recognition from youth publications, magazines, and news outlets.
At Harvest Day, Kendall Rae will:
- Host a Meet & Greet with the community

We are honored to have Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington as the Presenter of Harvest Day. A champion for education, community uplift, and opportunity, Commissioner Arrington will open the event with warm remarks, encouraging neighbors to engage, connect, and celebrate the bounty of the season.
Why his presence matters:
- As Fulton County Commissioner for District 5, he consistently advocates for education, community empowerment, and resource access.
- He supports strategic investment in arts, youth programs, and engaging community spaces (recently he helped secure nearly $2M in arts funding for Fulton County.
- He knows that when neighborhoods grow stronger through knowledge, food access, and local pride, lives are enriched.

Welcome to aGROWKulture, the heart and soul of this event — where urban agriculture, education, and community empowerment come alive.
About aGROWKulture:
- Founded in May 2020, aGROWKulture blends farm culture with urban community engagement right in Atlanta’s heart.
- Led by Kendall Rae Johnson and her team, the farm grows a diversity of fruits and vegetables, produces honey (Kendall’s Beelicious Honey), and runs educational programs and workshops.
- The mission is to inspire, teach, and uplift — by connecting people (especially youth) with the food cycle, sustainability practices, and entrepreneurial agriculture pathways.
